about

I am not one who gets excited by the holidays; the ultra-consumerism and all the expectations we put on each other kinda bums me out. But as I get older and softer I see a real need to pierce the veil of the unnecessary hoopla and revel in the darkest time of the year. Although this is not specifically a holiday song, it is about as "Christmassy" as I get. It refers to our inner light, love, consciousness, or whatever you want to call it, that is so imperative not only to the onset of winter, but to these dark times in general. This tune came together super quick... a sort of a "meant to be" type scenario so please share with anyone who may enjoy it as much as I had making it.

lyrics

Love, there ain’t nothing here but love, child
It’s such a subtle buzz
It keeps me wild
It does all that it wants to do
So what do you want to do here
Who you wanna be
What you wanna see
There’s freedom in your head
And beauty in your mind

Chorus:

If you could just see me now
Getting in to getting out of time
Good God your soul’s projecting
Feast of light and all’s reflecting
Speed of sight in all directions
Good god your soul's projecting

Trust, you're gonna have to trust, child
Ain’t no need to fuss
Ain’t no need to fight
It’s all that you belong to
Everything you long to do
It’s what you wanna be
What you wanna see
There's beauty in your hands
Freedom in your mind

Chorus
