about

I do not know what it is about old timber frame buildings that get me so excited. Maybe it is just carved into my DNA as a New Englander or maybe because they provide great sound diffusion for live music. Whatever the reason here is another recording from a restored old barn, this time in Pomfret, VT. Thank you to all the folks who braved the bitter cold February night to help document this single show. Like the building itself, there are some great improvisations with quirky twists and turns, as well as the inevitable mistakes that spark an even more creative solution. The beauty is in the roughness and maybe these songs will hold up as true as the timbers themselves.
